
Stonington Man Dies in Blue Hill Head-On Collision
A Stonington man died as the result of a Monday afternoon accident that also injured two people from Blue Hill.

Hancock County Sheriff's Deputies told WVII-TV that Richard Goodwin, 53, died at the scene of the accident. An investigation determined that Goodwin's pickup had crossed the centerline on the Ellsworth Road, near the Blue Hill-Surry transfer station, and collided head-on with another pickup, containing two people. William Webb, 47, of Blue Hill was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Doris Webb, 45, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
