Motorists should be advised that the annual Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run will be taking place this Friday, June 10th. A contingent of runners will leave Town Hill accompanied by police and sheriff cruisers heading towards Ellsworth at 7 a.m.

They will arrive in Ellsworth at around 9 a.m., and then will depart from Ellsworth's Key Bank around 9:30 heading towards Bangor and ultimately up to the University of Maine.

They should be arriving at G&M Variety in Holden around 12:15 p.m. They will then make their way to downtown Bangor and then up Route 2 to the University of Maine.

The Special Olympics will be held at UMaine on Saturday and Sunday, June 10th and 11th.
