Sox Lose on St. Patrick’s Day
The Boston Red Sox lost to the Houston Astros 6-2 on St. Patrick's Day in Spring Training action from Florida. The bright spot for the Red Sox... Eduardo Rodriguez threw 4 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 6 and walking 3.
Relievers Joe Kelly and Noe Ramirez allowed the 6 runs, with Kelly giving up 2 and Ramirez 4 in the 6th and 7th innings.
The Red Sox wore green uniforms to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and the bases were green.
The Red Sox take on the Minnesota Twins on Saturday and Sunday, with opening day just a little over 2 weeks away, on April 3rd. Rick Porcello, the Red Sox opening day starter will pitch for the Red Sox on Saturday.
