Community Lunches For Seniors At Moore Community Center In Ellsworth

Here are the Friends in Action Lunch Menus for October 2025!

The lunches are served at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth, every Tuesday and Thursday, across from Knowlton Park. The cost of the lunches are $5.00.

The lunches are nutritious, delicious, inexpensive and more importantly a chance for seniors to get together in an inviting setting and meet new friends or catch up with old friends! Plus, you can find out more about Friends in Action and the programs that they offer!

The lunches have proven to be so popular that Friends in Action is asking that you let them know by Monday at 4:30 p.m. that you will be attending the Tuesday lunch and by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday if you will be attending the Thursday lunch, so that way they have enough food prepared and place settings set. You can either let them know at the lunch or by giving them a call at 664-6016

Thursday October 2 - Homemade Mac 'N Cheese, Carrots, Salad, Peaches and Dessert
Tuesday October 7 - Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, Chef Salad, Pears and Dessert
Thursday October 9 - Shepherd's Pie Dinner Roll, Grapes and Desssert
Tuesday October 14 - Creamy Vegetable Soup, Turkey Sandwich, Cinnamon Applesauce and Dessert
Thursday October 16 - Grilled Chicken Breast, Wild Rice, Broccoli, Mandarin Oranges and Dessert
Tuesday October 21 - Beef and Bean Chili, Corn Bread, Green Beans, Apple Slices and Dessert
Thursday October 23 - Chicken Fajitas, Spanish Rice, Flour Tortillas, Pineapple and Dessert
Tuesday October 28 - Pub Battered Cod, Tater Tots, Coleslaw, Peaches and Dessert
Thursday October 30 - Spooky Spaghetti with Eyeballs! Veggies, Bats Nest, Vampire Deterrent, Mini Pumpkins and Dessert
