Senior Lifetime Passes to National Parks to Increase

According to AARP fees for Senior Citizens are set to jump at Acadia National Park and other National Parks throughout the United States effective August 28th. It's a good idea to purchase your pass before the increases go into effect!

Currently, the lifetime pass for a Senior Citizen (62 and plus) is $10.00. The fee is scheduled to be increased to $80.00 and there will be a new annual pass available for $20.00. Those purchasing the annual pass will be able to apply that cost to a lifetime pass at a later date if desired. The last time that the Senior rate was increased was back in 1994.

The increased fees will go towards improvements in the National Parks and increased visitor experiences. The date that the increase will go into effect has not been announced.
