Trenton Sr. Legion Acadians Beat Capital Area 6-2

The 2026 High School Baseball Season ends on Saturday, June 20th with the Gold Gloves being awarded, but the Senior Legion Summer Baseball Season has begun and on Friday, June 19th the Trenton Sr. Legion Acadians beat Capital Area 6-2.

Capital Area was leading 2-0 into the top of the 7th inning when Trenton exploded for 6 runs.

In the 6th inning, Logan Crowley reached on an error to lead off the inning and Dawson Curtis walked.  Jackson Barry walked and Logan Crowley scored on an error with Curtis advancing to 3rd. Gunner Vines singled, scoring Curtis with Barry moving to 2nd. Ryan Winchester laid down a sacrifice bunt, advancing Barry to 3rd and Vines to 2nd. Wyl Renwick walked, loading the bases. Joey Beal reached on an error, with Barry scoring, Vines moving to 3rd, and Renwick moving to 2nd. Luke Horn walked, with Vines scoring. Wyl Renwick scored on a passed ball to make the score 5-2. Batting around, Luke Crowley walked, loading the bases and then Dawson Curtis was hit by a pitch, driving in Beal.

Capital Area outhit Trenton 6-2. Capital Area committed 4 errors while Trenton committed 3 errors.

Gunnar Vines and Brayden Sekulich each had a hit for the Acadians.

Logan Crowley started on the mound and pitched 4.0 innings. He allowed 3 hits and 2 runs, both unearned, striking out 1 and walking 2. Ryan Winchester pitched an inning and allowed 2 hits. Jackson Barry picked up the win pitching the 6th and  7th inning. He struck out 4.

Trenton now 1-0 will play at Hampden Academy against  the  Hammond Lumber Riverdogs on Monday, June 22nd at 7:30 p.m. They play the Dunkin Comrades on Wednesday, June 24th at home at 5:30 p.m. The also play the Post 8 Downeast Captains at home on Thursday June 25th at 5:30 p.m. and close out the week at the CM Hurricanes on Friday, June 26th at 7:30 p.m.

Capital Area is 0-1. They play at Boothbay High School against the 36ers on Monday, June 22nd at 5 p.m.

The Trenton Acadians will play their home games at Bucksport High School. Members of the 2026 Team include
