RSU 24 Superintendent Michael Eastman sent the following letter to parents and guardians on Friday, April 10th. In it they have decided to extend remote learning through the rest of the 2019-20 School Year.

Key takeaways

  • Students can pick up new materials on Wednesday, April 15th from 3pm to 6pm at their school. For students and families not able to pick up materials, they will deliver the work to home during the regular deployment of food on Thursday, April 16th.
  • Food will continue to be deployed every Monday and Thursday. To date the RSU has distributed over 8,000 breakfasts an 8,000 lunches. If your child is currently not receiving meals and you wish them to, please contact your child's building principal.
  • April vacation is still going to happen April 20-24. Food will NOT be distributed during April vacation
  • Decisions regarding various activities and traditions such as graduation/promotions/class trips etc are an important part of the school year and if possible they will do their best to find ways to creatively honor these traditions. Stay tuned for further announcements regarding these events
