RSU 24 Changes Start Date of 2020-21 School Year

At the Thursday, July 16th School Board meeting it was voted that start of the 2020-21 school year would be postponed. Rather than starting on Monday, August 31st, the first day for students will be Tuesday, September 8th (the day after Labor Day)

This impacts the students at Sumner Memorial High School, Cave Hill School, Ella Lewis School, Mountain View School and Peninsula School.

The first day for faculty and staff will be Wednesday, August 26th. This postponement allows for additional professional development and training for the RSU 24 faculty and staff.

No official decision was made on exactly what the school year will look like.
