Rich – MABC All Academic Team

Congratulations to MDI's Drew Rich who was named to the Maine Association of Basketball Coach's All Academic Team... One of only 10 named to the team in the State of Maine last night at the McDonald's All-Star banquet.

According to the Maine Association of Basketball Coach's website, criteria to be selected to the All Academic Team include

1.  The player must receive a grade point average of 92 or better for three years.
2.  The player must be a 2nd-year member of the varsity basketball team.
3.  The player must have made a significant contribution to the team during the current season.
4.  The player must be a senior of good moral character.

A five person committee then reviewed all student athletes nominated and selected the top ten boys and girls in the state.
