The Boston Red Sox's 10-game winning streak was snapped Friday afternoon, July 18th with the Chicago Cubs winning 4-1 at Wrigley Field.

Lucas Giolito allowed a 3-run homer in the 1st inning to Seiya Suzuki, after waking the first 2 batters he faced.

Giolito was 5-0 with an ERA of 0.70 in his last 6 starts.

Giolito went 5.1 innings allowing 5 hits and 4 runs. He struck out 6 and walked 2. His record dropped to 6-2 on the season.

Boston only managed 6 hits in their 1st game after the All-Star break.

Roman Anthony had a double, going 1-3, driving in Boston's lone run.

Jarren Duran, Alex Bregman, Ceddanne Rafaela and Abraham Toro each singled for the Red Sox.
