Boston Beats Tampa Bay 10-0 for 10th Win In-a-Row [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox won their 10th game in-a-row on Friday afternoon, beating Tampa Bay 10-0 in the 1st game of a day-night doubleheader.

Boston has allowed just 14 runs in their last 10 game, their fewest every over a 10-game span since 1920!

The shutout was their AL-leading 10th of the season.

Jake Bennett was dominant on the mound. Improving to 5-3 he allowed just a hit over 6.0 innings. He struck out 3 and walked 1.

Alec Gamboa, called up to be the 26th man in the doubleheader picked up his 1st save, pitching the final 3.0 innings allowing just 2 hits and striking out 1.

Masataka Yoshida was 3-5 with a double and home run. The homer was his 4th of the season.

Carlos Narvaez was 3-4 with a home run and dove in 3 runs batted in. The homer was his 3rd of the season.

Caleb Durbin was 3-4 and drove in a run.

Jarren Duran was 1-3 and drove in 3 runs.

Boston is now 47-48 and just 1 game under .500. They are tied for the 3rd Wild Card spot.

The Red Sox and Rays will play game 2 of the doubleheader Friday night, with the pregame starting at 6:10 on WDEA AM 1370.
