Red Sox Win 5th Straight Routing Cardinals 18-7 Sunday Night [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox batted around in the 2nd inning putting up 5 runs and added 4 runs in the 3rd inning, routing the St. Louis Cardinals 18-7 Sunday night. It was the Red Sox's 5th win in-a-row.

The sweep of the Cardinals, was Boston's 1st series sweep since July 2-4, 2024 against Miami and 1st home series sweep since July 7-9, 2023 against Oakland.

Alex Bregman was 4-5 with 2 doubles and his 2nd homer of the season, driving in 6 runs.

Rafael Devers was 4-4, with 2 doubles and 3 runs batted in. He scored 4 runs. After starting the season 0-19 in his 1st 5 games, he's gone 10-19 with 3 doubles, a homer and 7 runs batted in, in his last 5 games.

Jarren Duran was 3-5 with a double and 2 runs batted in.

Wilyer Abreu was 2-6 with a double and 3 runs batted in. He is 14-29 to begin the season and is batting .483.

Carlos Navrvaez was 2-4 with a pair of doubles and a run batted in. He's had a hit in each of the 4 games he's played.

Kristian Campbell was 1-4. He is the 3rd Red Sox player to ever reach base in each of their 1st 10 games at 22 or younger. He joins George Scott who did it in 1966 and Ted Williams who did it in 1939.

Hunter Dobbins, called up as the 27th man for the doubleheader, made his major league debut and picked up the win. He went 5.0 innings and allowed 8 hits and 2 runs, striking out 5 and walking 2. He's the 17th Red Sox starter and 1st since Anthony Ranaudo (August 1, 2014) who won their major league debut at Fenway!
