The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 3-2 in 10 innings at Fenway Park on Friday, August 12th.

Tommy Pham made it a "Pham-tastic" night with a walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning. He was 1-5 on the night.

Nathan Eovaldi wnet 6.0 innings, allowing 8 hits and 2 runs. he struck out 3 and walked 2.

Matt Barnes came on relief and pitched the 7th inning. Since coming back from the injured list he's allowed just 1 run and 3 hits over 4.1 innings.

Ryan Brasier pitched the 8th inning, needing just 9 pitches.

Garrett Whitlock picked up the win, pitching the 9th and 10th innings. He retired 6 of the 7 batters he faced.

JD Martinez was 3-4 driving in 2 runs.

Alex Verdugo was 1-3 with a double.

Aaron Judge hit a solo homer for the Yankees in the 3rd inning. It was his 46th homer of the season. He leads the majors in Home Runs with 46 and Runs Batted In with 100.

The game marked former Red Sox player Andrew Benintendi's return to Fenway

The Red Sox and Yankee will play game 2 of the 3-game series on Saturday night.  Kutter Crawford is expected to start for Boston. Pregame starts at 6:15 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 7:15 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
