The Boston Red Sox won their 105th game of the season on Friday, September 21st, tying a franchise record with the 1912 team, as they beat the Cleveland Indians 7-5, scoring 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning.
Chris Sale continuing his rehab pitched 3.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits striking out 7.
Matt Barnes, coming back from a hip ailment picked up the win throwing a scoreless inning and Craig Kimbrel earned his 42nd save of the season.
The Red Sox hit 3 homers, with Sam Travis his 1st, Rafael Devers his 18th and Tzu-Wei Lin his 1st.. Travis had a double and ended up with 3 RBI's
The Red Sox will go for the franchise record Saturday night, when they take on the Indians in the 2nd game of the 3 game series. Rick Porcello is scheduled to pitch with the pregame starting at 6:25 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA
