Prior to Saturday's game with the Philadelphia Phillies, the Boston Red Sox made a roster move, placing right handed pitcher Matt Adriese on the 10 day Injured List and recalling righty Austin Brice from Triple-A Worcester.

Andriese,  pitched the 7th inning of last night’s 11-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. In 26 appearances this season (all in relief), the right-hander is 2-3 with one save, a 6.03 ERA (25 ER/37.1 IP), 38 strikeouts, and 11 walks.

Brice made Boston’s Opening Day roster and appeared in 12 games for the Red Sox, posting a 6.94 ERA (9 ER/11.2 IP) with 9 strikeouts, 6 walks, and a .267 opponent batting average. Since he was designated for assignment on May 21, the right-hander has posted a 1.20 ERA (2 ER/15.0 IP) with a 1.00 WHIP and a .140 opponent batting average in 12 appearances for Worcester, striking out 17 batters and walking 8.
