Red Sox Open Season Monday [POLL]

The Boston Red Sox are set to open their 117th season on Monday, April 3rd when they play host to the Pittsburgh Pirates. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 with the pregame at 1:20 on AM 1370 WDEA. Rick Porcello will take the mound for the Red Sox.

The Red Sox have set their 25 man roster, after making a series of roster moves on Saturday, after their last exhibition game of the season, a 4-4 tie with the Washington Nationals.

The Opening Day Roster is

PITCHERS (12): Fernando Abad, Matt Barnes, Heath Hembree, Joe Kelly, Craig Kimbrel, Rick Porcello, Eduardo Rodriguez, Robbie Ross Jr., Chris Sale, Robby Scott, Ben Taylor, and Steven Wright.

CATCHERS (2): Sandy Leon and Christian Vazquez.

INFIELDERS (6): Xander Bogaerts, Brock Holt, Mitch Moreland, Dustin Pedroia, Hanley Ramirez, and Pablo Sandoval.

OUTFIELDERS (5): Andrew Benintendi, Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr., Steve Selsky, and Chris Young.
