The Boston Red Sox dipped below .500 (9-10) losing to the Minnesota Twins 10-4 on Wednesday night, April 19th at Fenway.

Corey Kluber started for Boston and allowed 6 hits and 7 runs. He struck out 3 and walked 2, hitting 2 batsmen. He allowed a 2-run homer in the 1st inning to Edouard Julien and then a 3-run homer to Joey Gallo in the 3rd inning. Kluber is now 0-4 on the season.

Minnesota scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and 4 in the 3rd inning.

Ryan Brasier came on and allowed a 3-run homer to Trevor Larnach in the 6th inning.

Richard Bleir pitched a perfect 7th and 8th innings, retiring all 6 batters he faced.


Emmanuel Valdez made his Major League debut and was 2-4 with a pair of singles. He was called up when the Red Sox placed Yu Chang on the Paternity List.

Jarren Duran was 1-3 with a double.

Joe Ryan improved to 4-0 for the Twins, going 6.0 innings, allowing 6 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 3 and walked 1.
