Nick Pivetta struggled on the mound for the Red Sox, lasting just 3.1 innings, allowing 7 hits and 5 runs. He struck out 3 and walked 3. He recorded his 1000th career strikeout in the 3rd inning.

Rafael Devers was 2-4, getting Boston's first hit in the 7th inning, with a double. He scored 2 runs in the game.

Wilyer Abreu was 1-3 with a double and run batted in, in the 7th inning. He leads AL rookies in hits (39,tied), doubles (13), Extra base hits (19) and total bases (69).

Ceddanne Rafaela was 2-4 with a pair of runs batted in.

Dominic Smith walked 3 times in the game.

The Red Sox received bad news in that Garrett Whitlock is likely lost for the season as it's expected that he will have elbow surgery, with an internal brace procedure, the same surgery that Lucas Giolito had in March.

The Red Sox and Brewers will play the final game of the 3-game series on Sunday afternoon with the pregame beginning at 12:25 p.m. and 1st pitch at 1:35 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
