The Boston Red Sox fell to the Texas Rangers 4-3 Saturday night as Rafael Devers became the 1st player to strike out 10 times in 3 games to open the season.

Devers, who is hitless for the season, did drive in a run with a bases loaded walk.

Kristian Campbell playing in his 3rd game as a big-leaguer, and 1st as a left-fielder was 2-3, with a double and his 1st major league homer, a solo shot in the 4th inning.

Alex Bregman was 2-4 and Carlos Narvaez starting a catcher was 1-3 with his 1st hit as a Red Sox, driving in a run.

Walker Buehler made his debut for Boston, and went 4.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs. He struck out 3 and didn't walk a batter.

The Red Sox' bullpen was lights-out. Justin Wilson, Zack Kelly and Greg Weissert combined for 3.2 innings of score-less, 1 hit relief, walking 1 and striking out 2.

Boston and Texas will conclude the 4-game series on Sunday afternoon, March 30th with the pregame starting at 1:35 and 1st pitch at 2:35 on AM 1370 WDEA.
