The Boston Red Sox fell to the Kansas City Royals 6-2 Tuesday night, August 6th at Fenway Park. The Red Sox have now lost 9 out of their last 10 games at home.

Andrew Cashner lasted 5.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 6 runs. It was the 3rd time in his last 5 games for the Red Sox that he's allow more than 5 earned runs in a start and is 1-4.  He struck out 4 and walked 2 in Tuesday night's game

The Red Sox bullpen was excellent Tuesday night, with Josh Taylor, Marcus Walden and Darwinzon Hernandez didn't allow a hit in 3.2 innings.

Andrew Benintendi was 1-4 driving in his 60th run of the season. The Red Sox now are 1 of only 3 teams with 4 players driving in 60 plus runs this season ( Colorado and Houston). Benintendi joins Xander Bogaerts, Raphael Devers, and JD Martinez with at least 60 RBIs.

Devers was 1-4 with a double and now leads Major League Baseball with 147 hits and the American League with 38 doubles.

Christian Vazquez was 2-4, setting a new career high with 96 hits.
