The Boston Red Sox fell to the Baltimore Orioles Friday night, May 18th at Fenway Park, losing 7-4. The New York Yankees lost to Kansas City, 5-2, so the Red Sox and Yankees remain tied for 1st place.

It was another rough outing for Drew Pomeranz who is 1-2 with a 5.97 ERA in six starts. He went 4 innings allowing 7 hits, and 5 runs, 4 of which were earned. He struck out 2 and walked 3. Steven Wright came on in long relief, pitching very well, going 4.2 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2.

The Red Sox bats remained hot. Mookie Betts was 3-5 with 2 doubles and a home run, his 14th of the season. Betts is tied for the major league lead in homers, and leads in batting average .371.

JD Marinez was 2-5 with 2 doubles. He now has 12 doubles.

The Red Sox and O's will play the 3rd game of the 4 game series on Saturday night, May 19th with the pregame starting at 6:25 PM and 1st pitch at 7:10, on AM 1370 WDEA.  Rick Porcello, 5-1 will take the mound for the Red Sox.
