The Boston Red Sox clubbed 2 homers on Memorial Day, May 28th, and they beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-3 in Fenway Park. The Red Sox have won 7 of their last 9 games and 9 of their last 12 games.

Andrew Benintendi was 3-5, with a 3run homer over the Green Monster in the 4th inning. Just like Saturday, he was a double short of hitting for the cycle, as he had a triple and single. Monday, he drove in 4 runs.

JD Martinez hit his 17th homer of the season, a solo shot in the 5th inning. He's now tied with teammate Mookie Betts and Mike Trout of the Angels for the most in the major league.

Jackie Bradley Jr. was 1-3 with a double and proved again why he is one of the best defensive outfielders with a highlight reel catch

Starting pitcher David Price went 5.0 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs. He struck out 4 and walked 4. Knuckleballer Steven Wright again pitched well in relief, pitching the final 2 innings just allowing 1 hit and striking out 2.

The Red Sox are now 37-17 alone in 1st place in the AL East, 2 games ahead of the 2nd place New York Yankees who lost Monday to the Houston Astros 5-1. The Red Sox will send 6-2 Rick Porcello to the mound on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2nd game of the 3 game series with the pregame starting at 6:25 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
