Red Sox Beat Twins 8-5 Sunday, Play Pirates Monday at 1

The Boston Red are 2-0 in Spring Training action, beating the Minnesota Twins 8-5 on Sunday, February 24th. The Red Sox will play the Pittsburgh Pirates, Monday, February 25th at 1PM, in a game to be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA.

A trio of Red Sox hitters blasted homers, including Jackie Bradley Jr. who hit a homer in his first at bat of the Spring. Also hitting home runs were Tate Matheny, a 2 run shot and Michael Chavis, his 2nd of the season, a 3 run homer in the 8th inning. It was also his 2nd 3-run homer of the season!

Eduardo Nunez and Chad De La Guerra each had a double.

The Red Sox used 8 pitchers in the game.

On Monday, the Red Sox take on the Pirates. Scheduled to pitch for Boston are Brian Johnson, Bobby Poyner and Domingo Tapia.
