The Boston Red Sox evened their Spring Training record at 5-5 after they beat the New York Mets on Monday afternoon, March 4th, 9-3 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The Boston Red Sox' big hit was a 3 run homer by Gorkys Hernandez in the top of the 2nd. It was the Red Sox' 16th homer of the Spring.

Chad De La Guerra was 2-3 with a triple and Bobby Dalbec had a double. Boston banged out 14 hits.

Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 2 shutout innings to start the game for Boston, allowing 3 hits and striking out 2. Brandon Workman allowed his 1st run in 3 innings this Spring, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 2.
