The Boston Red Sox improved to 3-2 in Spring Training games after beating the winless (0-5) Pittsburgh Pirates 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon, February 26th.
The Red Sox stroked 3 homers with Michael Chavis hitting his 1st of the Spring in the 5th inning. Jarren Duran hit his 1st, a 2 run shot in the 1st and Josh Ockimey his 2nd of the Spring, a 2 run homer in the 7th inning.
Martin Perez went 2 strong innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run and struck out 3 while walking 1.
The Red Sox will take on Philadelphia on Thursday, February 27th at 1 p.m. Hear the game on AM 1370 WDEA.
