On Wednesday night, the Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles, as Rick Porcello threw 5 innings allowing just 1 run.
Porcello allowed 4 hits, 1 run, striking out 1 and walking 1. Heath Hembree picked up the win in relief, going 1 inning allowing 1 run on a homer by Dwight Smith. Bobby Poyner picked up the save. Jenrry Mejia was rocked in his 1 inning of relief, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits.

In news Mookie Betts confirmed he turned down a 200 million dollar extension at the end of the 2017 season. The contract offer was for 8 years. Mike Trout signed a 10 year 360 million dollar extension Tuesday. Betts is eligible to be a free agent after the 2020 season.
