The Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles in Spring Training action on Monday, March 20th, 7-4. The Red Sox open the Regular Season on Monday, April 3rd when they play Pittsburgh at Fenway Park.

Kyle Kendrick had another strong outing for the Red Sox in his quest to open the season on the big league roster. Kendrick pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs, both earned. He struck out 4 and walked 1.

Marco Hernandez was 2-4, batting leadoff, with 2 doubles and he scored 2 runs. Pablo Sandoval was 2-4 with 2 doubles, and he drove in 2 runs, while scoring twice. Hanley Ramirez, the designated hitter was 2-3 with 3 runs batted in.

The Red Sox play the Yankees Tuesday night at 6:35 PM. The Red Sox had a relay race on Monday, with the winning squad excused from making the 2 hour bus trip to play the Yankees.
