The Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-4 in Baltimore on Tuesday, June 12th, taking the first 2 games of the 3 game series. The Red Sox blasted 2  home runs and Eduardo Rodriguez won his 8th game of the season.

Andrew Benintendi hit his 12th of the season in the 3rd inning and Rafael Devers hit his 10th of the season in the top of the 2nd, a 2 run shot.

Rodriguez, now 8-1 on the season went 5.2 innings. He struck out 4, walked 2  and allowed 8 hits. He gave up 2 runs, both earned.

Joe Kelly induced a little come backer in the bottom of the 7th with the bases loaded to keep the score 6-2.

Craig Kimbrel gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning, pitching in a non-save situation.

The New York Yankees beat Washington 3-0 Tuesday and remain percentage points ahead of the Red Sox for 1st place in the AL East.

The Red Sox and Orioles will play the final game of the 3 game series Wednesday afternoon with the pregame starting at 2:20 PM and 1st pitch at 3:05 on AM 1370 WDEA. Chris Sale is scheduled to take the mound for the Red Sox
