The Boston Red Sox beat the Washington Nationals 8-4 on Tuesday in West Palm Beach, and will play the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday, March 6th at 1:05PM.

The Red Sox hit their 17th homer in 11 Spring Training games. Tuesday's hero was Tzu-Wei Lin who hit his 1st of the Spring. Lin drove in 3 runs, going 2-4. Blake Swihart was 2-4, scoring twice. C.J, Chatham, playing shortstop was 2-4 with a double.

Hector Velazquez started the game for the Red Sox and threw 2.2 and allowed 1 run. He struck out 3 and allowed 4 hits.
