Brayan Bello activated from the Injured List prior to the game went 5.0 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He struck out and walked 3 hitting 2 batters. He is 1-0 on the season. To make room for Bello on the roster the Red Sox optioned Zack Kelly to Triple A Worcester.

Justin Wilson retired 2 batters in the 6th inning, allowing 1 hit and 2 runs, walking 2. Greg Weissert retired the final batter in the 6th. Garrett Whitlock pitched the 7th and 8th innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 2. Liam Hendriks fanned the side in the 9th inning.

Tristan Casas was 1-3, hitting a 3-run homer in the 7th inning, to give the Red Sox some insurance runs.

Alex Bregman was 2-5 with a pair of doubles, driving in 3 runs.

Ceddanne Rafaela was 2-3 with 2 stolen bases, scoring twice.

Wilyer Abreu was 3-4 with a double and stole 2 bases.

Jarren Duran was 2-4 with a triple.
