Red Sox Beat Mariners 3-2 in 10 Innings [VIDEO]
The Boston Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 3-2 on Wednesday evening July 31st 3-2 as Rafael Devers stroked a double in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Devers was 3-5 in the game with a pair of doubles. Danny Jansen making his 1st start for the Red Sox as catcher, after being traded from Toronto was 2-4 with a RBI single in the 6th inning to tie the game. He's now 4-7 in his 1st 2 games for the Red Sox
Dominic Smith was 1-4 with a double, and scored the tying run in the 6th inning.
Jarren Duran was 2-4.
Brayan Bello started on the mound for Red Sox and went 6.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 7 and walked 2.
Lucas Sims newly acquired from the Cincinnati Reds made his 1st appearance for the Red Sox and recorded the final 2 outs in the 7th inning, walking a batter.
Zack Kelly picked up the win, pitching the 10th inning and is now 4-1.
Boston is off on Thursday. They start a 6-game road trip on Friday with 3 games against the Texas Rangers and then 3 games against the Kansas City Royals. Friday night's pregame starts at 7:05 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 8:05 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
