Make it 3 wins-in-a-row for the Red Sox as they beat the St. Louis Cardinals 13-9 in the Fenway Park opener on Friday, April 4th. The win snapped a 4-game losing streak in home openers.

The Red Sox outhit St. Louis 16-13 blasting back-to-back homers in the 1st inning as Boston scored 5 runs.

Trevor Story, was 2-5 with a 3-run homer in the 1st inning.

Wilyer Abreu was 3-5, driving in 2 runs, and had a solo homer in the 1st inning.

Rafael Devers was 2-3, drove in a run and walked twice.

Alex Bregman was 2-4 with a double and run batted in.

Tristan Casas was 2-5 with a pair of doubles

Kristian Campbell was 1-2, with a pair of walks and scored 3 runs.

Walker Buehler picked up the win and is now 1-1. He went 5.0 innings, allowing 7 hits and 5 runs, striking out 4 and walking 1.

Aroldis Chapman picked up his 2nd save of the season getting the final 2 outs, after Cooper Criswell allowed 3 hits and 3 runs in the 9th inning.

Boston is now 4-4 and St. Louis is 4-3. The 2 teams are set to play Saturday afternoon with the pregame at 3:10 and 1st pitch at 4:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
