The Boston Red Sox beat the St. Lous Cardinals Tuesday night, August 15th, 10-4, scoring 8 runs in the 5th inning, and in the 4th inning turned a triple play! The Red Sox banged out 15 hits, with every starter having at least 1 hit.

Rick Porcello threw 7.0 innings allowing 8 hits, 3 runs and struck out 6 while walking 2. He picked up his 7th win of the season, and 3rd in a row.

Xander Bogaerts had 3 hits, Eduardo Nunez, Hanley Ramirez, Rafael Devers and Mitch Moreland each had 2 hits.

The Boston Red Sox are still 4.5 games ahead of the New York Yankees, who beat the New York Mets on Tuesday 5-4.

The Red Sox will take on St. Louis in the 2nd game of the quick 2 game series on Wednesday night, with the pregame starting at 6:25 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA. Eduardo Rodriguez will take the mound for the Red Sox.
