Trevor Story hit a 2-run 431 foot homer to help lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Friday, May 30th, snapping their 5-game losing streak.

The homer came in the 4th inning and put Boston ahead for good, 2-1. It was Story's 7th homer of the season. The rest of the night story struck out 3 times.

Lucas Giolito started for the Red Sox on the mound and went 4.2 innings allowing 5 hits, and 1 run. He struck out 3 and walked 2.

Manager Alex Cora used his bullpen aggressively, as 5 pitchers combined to hold the Braves to just 1 hit over the last 4.1 innings. The bullpen struck out 5, walking 1. Garrett Whitlock picked up the win and is now 4-0 on the season.

Abraham Toro playing 1st base was 3-4, with a double, driving in 2 runs..

Carlos Narvaez was 1-5 with a double.

Rafael Devers was 2-4 with a pair of runs batted in.

Boston is now 28-31 and in 4th place in the AL East. They trail the 1st place New York Yankees by 8.5 games and the tied for 2nd place Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays by 2 games.
