Red Sox Announce 11 Roster Moves Sunday Morning

The Boston Red Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles Sunday afternoon, March 11th at 1 PM in a game that will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370. Prior to the game, the Red Sox made 11 roster moves.

The Red Sox optioned to Triple A Pawtucket lefties Jalen Beeks and Williams Jerez and righties Ty Buttrey and Chandler Shepherd. They also assigned to the minor league camp catcher Austin Rei, infielders Michael Chavis and Esteban Quiroz, outfielders Jeremy Barfield and Steve Selsky and right handed pitchers Kyle Marin and Fernando Rodriguez.

The Red Sox now have 45 players in the big league camp, including 36 players from the 40 man roster and 9 non-roster invitees.

The Red Sox are scheduled to send to the mound Sunday Rick Porcello, Heath Hembree, Robby Scott and Carson Smith.

The Red Sox will play Toronto Monday, MArch 12th at 1PM before an off day on Tuesday, March 13th. The Red Sox open the season on Thursday, March 29th at 4PM in Florida against the Tampa Bay Rays. You can hear every Spring Training and Regular Season game on AM 1370 WDEA
