Predicted Storm Causes Changes to State Cheering and Northern Maine Wrestling Championships

The possibility of a storm Thursday into Friday has caused the Maine Principal's Association to make changes in the times for the State Cheering Championships in Augusta on Saturday February 8th and the Northern Maine Wrestling Championships in Caribou on Saturday the 8th.

According to the Bangor Daily News the timeline for cheering is now

• Class B and C registration from Noon to 1 p.m.
• Warmups for Class B and C 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Competition begins at 2 p.m.
• Awards for Class B and C approximately 4:30 p.m

The Augusta Civic Center Auditorium will be cleared and then Classes D and A will compete

• Class D and A  registration from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
• Warmups for Class D and A  4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Competition begins at 6 p.m.
• Awards for Class D and A approximately 8:15 p.m

Wrestlers in the Class B North Regionals in Caribou will weigh in at 10 a.m. with the meet starting at 11:15 a.m.
