Bangor Hydro Electric Company is reporting a little over 1000 customers in the Orrington area are without power this morning after a vehicle accident.

Here's the power outage update they sent out. Power outage is expected to be restored by 12:30 this afternoon.

Restoration Details:Bangor Hydro crews are at the scene of a car-pole accident this morning that has knocked out electric service to more than 1,000 customers in and around Orrington. They will work to replace the pole and restore service as safely and quickly as possible. Customers using alternate sources of heat are reminded to always follow manufacturer guidelines. It is always important to remember that you should also never touch a downed line or a tree in contact with one.
