Porcello Sox Roll Win 5-1 Friday Night [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox received an outstanding, bullpen saving, starting pitching performance from Rick Porcello and Mookie Betts hit his 13th homer of the season as the Boston Red Sox defeated Texas 5-1 Friday night, May 4th.

Porcello went 6 strong innings allowing just 1 earned run on 3 hits. He struck out 8 and walked just 1 and picked up his 5th victory of the season. Porcello, now 5-0 has an ERA of 2.14

Mookie Betts was 1-4 with his 13th homer and is now batting .365 for the season. Rafael Devers was 3-4 with 2 homers . JD Martinez blasted his 7th homer of the season, a solo shot off of Bartolo Colon.

The Red Sox remain 1 game ahead of the 2nd place New York Yankees, who beat Cleveland Friday night 7-6
