Perconti Wins 1st Start for Wentworth

It was a great start for former MDI Trojan Matt Perconti, in his first collegiate start for Wentworth Institute of Technology in Auburndale, Florida, on Monday, March 4th.

Perconti exhibited excellent control, throwing 59 of his 79 pitches for strikes. He went 6 innings, allowing just 4 hits while striking out 8. He didn't walk a batter, and allowed 2 runs, 1 of which was earned, to pick up his first collegiate win.

Wentworth Institute swept the doubleheader with Penn State-Fayette and are now 2-2 on the young season.

Wentworth plays a doubleheader against WPI on Wednesday, March 6th in Florida.
