The Southwest Harbor Select Board announced Tuesday night, July 23rd that they had signed a contract with Karen Reddersen to be the new Town Manager effective September 18th. She will replace Marilyn Lowell who is retiring on September 30th.

A series of small country cafes throughout Maine still offer meals at throwback prices, including cheeseburgers for less than four bucks.

I wish more municipal pools would do this! On August 24th after the Tim Emery Pool in Bucksport has closed for the summer, it will open for the local dogs! Here are the details!

The Boston Red Sox hadn't won a game since the All-Star break, losing 4 in-a-row, but that changed Tuesday night, as Tyler O'Neill blasted 2 home runs and the Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies 6-0. Boston and Colorado will close out their 3-game series on Wednesday afternoon. The pregame begins at 2:10 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 3:10 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
