October 2 – National Name Your Car Day

October 2nd is National Name Your Car Day!  I have to admit I have never named one of my cars, and I spend an awful long time in my car traveling back and forth from Bangor to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.

Some of the more famous names of cars are Herbie the Love Bug, Lightning McQueen from Cars, Kit from Knight Rider, General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and Bandit from Smokey and the Bandit.

I spend a decent amount of time talking to Siri in my car, asking her to change the radio station or to make a call for me, but haven't gotten to the point of naming my car.
