Northern Light Healthcare Worker Tests Positive for COVID-19

A healthcare worker for Northern Light Health has tested positive for COVID-19.

Hospital officials confirmed to WABI-TV that the employee works at one of their outpatient settings. They are now recovering at home, in self-isolation. Hospital administrators are contacting any patients and staff who may have come in contact with the employee and advising them to quarantine at home and watch for symptoms.

Northern Light officials have procedures in place to keep everyone as safe as possible, including telemed appointments, where healthcare workers can communicate with patients, without their having to come into the facility. But sometimes, they say, personal contact is unavoidable.
