Nikki is a 2001 graduate of Ellsworth High School.  She earned in Bachelor's Degree in Art Education in 2005 and her Master's Degree in 2010 from Boston University.  She worked in Ellsworth Schools from 2006 through 2014 in the Visual Art program as well as in leadership as a Peer Coach and the Dean of Instruction.  Since then, Nikki has been the Director of Curriculum at Regional School Unit #24.  She has worked to collaboratively lead administrators and teachers through her tenure in RSU #24 for many years towards best practice and in support of student success.  In addition, Nikki was an integral member of the team who designed, developed, and finalized the new Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus building that houses the district's middle school and high school populations that just opened in the Fall of 2022.  Statewide, Nikki was named the 2022 Maine Curriculum Leader of the year via the Maine Curriculum Leaders Association (MCLA).  She is set to become the MCLA president this July, and is a member of other various state-wide curriculum and leadership groups.
Nikki notes that she is extremely excited to begin working as the new Assistant Superintendent and to have the opportunity to collaborate with the strong administrative team and dedicated staff across Ellsworth schools.  Superintendent Amy Boles said, "I am thrilled to have Nikki join our Ellsworth Leadership team.  She brings a skill set that will complement our team nicely.  We have an amazing, dedicated staff across all schools and departments.  I am excited to see how our new leadership team will help collaboratively transform our schools moving forward."
