Neighborhood House’s Community Cafe Begins October 19

For years, the Neighborhood House's Community Cafe has been a highlight of Thursdays, as residents have been able to gather for a great meal and a little community conversation every other Thursday in the fall, winter and spring.

The Community Cafe will be open on the first and third Thursday of each month, October 19th through April 18th. Recognizing the fact that some will prefer the take away option, organizers are pleased to offer that option too!

This year the suggested donation is $10 per person, and seniors are invited to join “on the house.” Lunch is served from 11:30 to 1 p.m, or sooner, if all the food is gone!

There will be a limited number of vegetarian and gluten free meals available upon request.

The inaugural lunch is in memory of Les Foss, thanks to the support of an anonymous sponsor

This year, WDEA will be broadcasting from select lunches 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m

October 19 - Meatball Sub Sandwich, Colesslaw, Chips and Dessert
November 2 - Chicken Pot Pie, Brussels Sprout Slaw and Dessert
November 16 -Vegetarian Baked Ziti, Garlic Bread sticks, Tossed Salad and Dessert
December 7 - Homemade Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Steamed Hot Dogs, Biscuit and Dessert
December 21 - Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans and Dessert
January 4 - Choice of Fish or Corn Chowder, Kale Salad, Biscuit and Dessert
January 18 - Spiral Ham, Homemade Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Dinner Roll and Dessert
February 1 - Roast Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Peas and Dessert
February 15 - Lasagna, Garlic Bread Sticks, Caesar Salad and Dessert
March 7 - Ribs, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, and dessert
March 21 - Maine Italian Sub, Chips and Dessert
April 4 - Chicken Parmesan served over Pasta, Garlic Bread sticks, Caesar Salad and Dessert
