This Thursday, January 7th, the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor was scheduled to host their next Carryout Cafe, but the January 7th event has been postponed.

This week's lunch was supposed to have been Homemade Fish Chowder or Corn Chowder with Bread and Zesty Broccoli Salad and  Homemade Cookies, but because of the spike in COVID-19 cases on Mount Desert Island, it has been postponed.

This event will now take place on May 6th.

The next regularly scheduled Carryout Cafe will be on Thursday, January 21st when the menu will be Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, and Peas and Homemade Cookies for dessert.

The Carryout Cafe serves from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. As always, the suggested donation is $7, and seniors are invited to join “on the house.”

Nobody likes a good excuse to gather (even responsibly distanced and masked) than we do... but now is the time we need...
