National Boss’s Day – October 16

October 16th is National Boss's Day! Trust me you don't want to be that one employee that fails to wish the Boss  Happy Boss's Day!

I have worked for some great bosses in my various careers and I have worked for a couple of terrible ones. Truth be told I think I learned more from the horrible ones the most, in so far as I learned what I didn't want to be like, and how I would treat others when I became a "boss".

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was the following

Department heads, remember what it was like to be a line level employee. Division heads, remember what it was like to be a department head. Managers, remember what it was like to be a division head.
