Monday February 3rd – Truck Day

The Boston Red Sox started packing the truck full of everything they need for Spring Training at 7 a.m. on Monday, February 3rd. Well, everything except a manager!

Pitchers and catchers report Wednesday, February 12th with the full squad having their 1st workout on Monday, February 17th. The 1st Spring Training game on WDEA will be on Saturday, February 22nd.

The Red Sox open the regular season on Thursday, March 26th at Toronto against the Blue Jays.

Here's what the Red Sox are taking to Florida!

• 20,400 baseballs
• 1,100 bats
• 200 batting gloves
• 200 batting helmets
• 320 Batting Practice tops
• 160 white game jerseys
• 300 pairs of pants
• 400 t-shirts
• 400 pairs of socks
• 20 cases of bubble gum
• 60 cases of sunflower seeds
