MDI Falls to Yarmouth 36-12 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Trojans fell to the Yarmouth Clippers 36-12 in Yarmouth on Friday night, October 24th.

Yarmouth took the opening possession and scored, on a 1 yard run by Adam Pelotte. The 2-point conversion was good and the Clippers led 8-0.

MDI answered, scoring on a 53 yard run by Kenneth Stillwell, with 6:22 left in the 1st Quarter. The 2-point conversion failed and Yarmouth led 8-6.

Yarmouth scored with 1:30 left in the 1st Quarter, with Burke Harke running in from 2 yards out. The 2-point conversion was good, and the Clippers led 16-6.

With 5:30 left to play in the 2nd Quarter, Jackson Jabar ran in from 28 yards out. The 2-point conversion was good and Yarmouth led 24-6 at the end of the 1st Half

MDI scored with 2:40 left in the 3rd Quarter as Kenneth Stillwell stepped in front of a screen pass, and returned the interception untouched for a pick-6 running it back 45 yards. The 2-point conversion failed and Yarmouth led 24-12.

Yarmouth scored with 13 seconds gone in the 4th Quarter when Iggy McGrath connected on a 12 yard pass to Jabar. The 2-point conversion failed and Yarmouth led 30-12

The final score came with 9:57 left to play, on another pass, this time from McGrath to Brayden Koza, a 3-yard touchdown. The 2-point conversion failed.

Yarmouth finishes the regular season 7-1.

MDI finishes the regular season 3-5 and in 2nd place in the Northern Maine 8-Man standings. It looks as if MDI will host Houlton on Friday, October 31st for the semifinals. Time to be determined.
