MDI Snaps 2 Game Losing Streak Beats GSA 6-3
The MDI Baseball Team snapped their 2 game losing streak on Thursday, May 17th beating George Stevens Academy 6-3 in Blue Hill.
Alden Fournier picked up the win for MDI throwing 6 innings, allowing 2 hits, 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 10 and walked 5. Sam Mitchell earned the save, pitching the 7th inning and striking out 2.
Ethan Snow pitched 5 innings for GSA, allowing 2 runs, 1 of which was earned. Owen Vinell didn't get a batter out in the 6th, giving up 1 hits, 2 earned runs and walking 1. Memphis Parker pitched 2 innings and gave up 2 runs, on 1 hits, striking out 2 and walking 2.
Sam Keblinsky, Nick Stanley, Jacob Mitchell, Brady Renault and Liam Sullivan each had a single for MDI. Alden Fournier, Fin McConomy, Keblinksy, Renault and Erik Merchant all had a run batted in. Nick Stanley had a stolen base for MDI.
Memphis Parker and Gavin Mote had GSA's hits.
MDI now 8-4 will play host to Belfast on Wednesday. May 23rd at 4:30 PM.
GSA is 7-4 and plays at Dexter Friday, May 18th at 4:30 PM.
