The MDI Trojans were shutout by the John Bapst Crusaders on Thursday afternoon in Bar Harbor 2-0. The Trojans were held to just 5 singles.

Ethan Newcomb picked up the win for the Crusaders. Andrew Kennedy took the loss for the Trojans, pitching 4 innings, allowing 3 hits, striking out 2 and walking 3. Seth Clark pitched the final 3 innings for MDI, striking out 4 and didn't allow a hit or walk.

Derek Collin had 2 singles for MDI while Drew Shea, Mac Shea and Nick Stanley each had a single.

John Bapst scored their 2 runs in the 3rd inning. Ben Spear started the inning off with a single and Nick Lakeman walked after a 3-2 count. Alec Gagnon and Nathan Smith both struck out. With 2 outs and 2 runners on, James Butler stroked a double driving in Spear and Lakeman.

MDI is now 1-2 and will play at Old Town on Monday, May 1st at 4:30 PM (Note this game was originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday, May 2nd).

John Bapst is 1-0 and will play host to Lee Academy on Saturday, April 29th at 12 Noon.
